A downloadable game

LEVIATHAN is a work-in-progress biopunk TTRPG inspired by Tsutomu Nihei's BLAME!, Stanislaw Lem's Solaris, and Harlan Ellison's I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream

Players take on the role of mercenary explorers in a fledgling settlement  in the wilds of a vast, labyrinthine machine-city , tasked not only with scavenging the supplies and materials necessary to sustain their community, but protecting their people from the threats that prey on post-humanity.

Features

Streamlined Tactical Combat: Battle the strange and hostile denizens of the megastructure in tactical grid-based combat, incorporating a dice pool system inspired by Liberigothica's Panic! At the Dojo and Gila RPG's RUNE. Roll your dice at the start of your turn, then spend them on your actions; the higher the spend, the greater the effect. Supplement your dice with limited-use Gear scavenged and traded for each Expedition.

Diceless Narrative Resolution: For narrative play, Leviathan uses a diceless  system based on managing your character's Traits and Backgrounds. Achieve your aims with compromise, expend resources to get what you want, or invite complications to strengthen your resolve.

Random Character Generation: Assemble your character by rolling their Background and two posthuman Traits, creating hundreds of potential combinations of abilities.

Build Your Home: Acquire resources and allies as you explore and scavenge the dangerous Peripheries of Leviathan and invest them back into your Outpost, gaining facilities and advantages for future expeditions.

Live, Die, Live Again: Embrace change, mutating again and again as the alien intelligence permeating the megastructure resurrects your failing flesh.

Hey, thanks for your interest! The first public playtest of LEVIATHAN isn't quite ready yet... this page is currently just to outline the game and for devlogs where I can talk through the design process and ongoing work. Hoping to have something up in the very near future, stay tuned!
